PROSECCO SPALI

PROSECCO D.O.C.
“SPÀLI” - VINO FRIZZANTE

Grapes:

Glera

Our vineyards:

Camino al tagliamento e Precenicco (Udine), grown according to the Guyot method with 5,000 vines per hectare.

Soil type:

alluvial, pebbly.

Vinification:

gentle pressing and fermentation in autoclave with no added sulphites, for full enhancement of all the fruitiness that is then transferred into the bottle.

Alcohol content:

11%

Typical characteristics:

“Spàli”, or “Twine” in Friulian, the original way of sealing the naturally fermented Sparkling Prosecco. A manual gesture, using string binding, that is reminiscent of the industriousness of the olden-day farmers of north-eastern Italy. By resuming this type of closure, Forchir wanted to honour the generations that showed their faith in Prosecco, thereby effectively contributing to the success of a product that has become the premier selling wine in the world. With Spàli, Forchir aims to uphold the traditions of Prosecco and its land. With its pale-yellow colour and delicate perlage, Spàli is a fresh, fruity sparkling wine, with a flavour hinting of green apple.

Serving suggestions:

Aperitif par excellence, but also a superb accompaniment for snacks and light appetizers.

Serving temperature:

Best served at 5-7°C, when uncorked and ready to be poured.
